Motorola has plans to release a new mobile phone with full-motion video display and the capability to play full-length feature films using small removable storage cards. The phone will be marketed in Europe originally, where faster third-generation (3G) networks are more readily available than in the US.
Mobile feature-length movies will be fit on Secure Digital cards that are capable of storing several gigabytes of data. Motorola has partnered with a company to develop the technology.
So maybe someday you’ll be able to watch the latest Harry Potter flick while commuting or stuck in rush hour.
