Have you ever been into some executive’s office? When I tried to find work at United Disc Company, the CEO wanted to meet me personally when he heard of my impressive resume. During the course of the interview, he found out most of what I wrote was a straight lie, and my degree was from the Universal Life Church. As a consolation, I stole a few of his imprinted pens that were personalized with his name – Harold Dukes.

The other day I had the exciting job of reviewing diet medications. Four-year-old web company Photobucket allows its users to store photos and videos, and then easily drop them onto pages at Facebook, eBay, and YouTube. Fox Interactive Media, a division of Fox News Corp owns YouTube, and seems to now be close to aquiring Photobucket. A lot of bloggers use photobucket - I’ve never personally tried it, but it seems like a good service.
The deal is not yet completed, but the parties have ironed out major issues and are now focusing on finer points, according to this person, who said the price could be as high as $300 million and asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the talks.
Representatives of MySpace, Fox Interactive Media and Photobucket declined to comment.

Today, Canon announced two 8-megapixel, image-stabilized cameras: the 12X optical superzoom PowerShot S5 IS and the 4X optical zoom ultracompact SD850 IS Digital Elph. Consumers can now choose from 25 PowerShot point-and-shoots!
The two new cameras retail at $399.99 and $499.99. I just hope the owner’s manual comes with a glossary and explanation of all those terms! PC Magazine plans product reviews in an upcoming issue.
