Do you think your password is secure? Think again. PC Magazine has compiled a list of the top ten most common passwords. Is your password on this list?
password
123456
qwerty
abc123
letmein
monkey
myspace 1
password 1
blink182
(your first name)
Some online accounts don’t really matter – like your kids’ Neopets account – and so a common password isn’t a big deal. But when it comes to picking one for your bank account or other high-security sites, use common sense. Don’t use a variation of your e-mail address or either part of your name. Don’t use “password” or “123456.” Make sure your online accounts are secure.

I thought that list was very amusing when I first read it. I used to use “asdf1234″ for my passwords on little online games and stuff, until someone guessed it and took my stuff.
Then I realized that using a password that is THAT easy, while nice for remembering, was really stupid for security.
